UNkosazana uTreggy Mpofu oyingcitshi kweze-horticulure koBulawayo uthe abalimi abalime amakhowa kumele bakwazi ukuthi akhiwa ngemva kwensuku ezintathu emilile.

“Amakhowa la alakho ukuhlala amalanga amathathu kusiya kwayisithupha engonakalanga. Ungawagcina kumaqandisa kumbe ukuthi uwachaye abengumfushwa,” kutsho uNkszn Mpofu.
UNkszn Mpofu uphethe ngokuchaza ngobuhle langokuqakatheka kwamakhowa.
“Amakhowa amnandi njalo abalelwa ekudleni okwakha umzimba. Awalamafutha amanengi kodwa alezakhi zomzimba ezidingakalayo ezinjengama-proteins, vitamins kunye lama-minerals.
“Ukulima amakhowa kuyanceda imuli ngesitshebo kunye langemali.”
