ABALIMI bakhuthazwa ukuhlanyela i-broccoli ngoba kuyisilimo esivuma ngesikhathi sobusika njalo esenelisa ukumelana lomqando.
Ekhuluma loMthunywa uMnumzana uBrendon Mpofu uthe sokuyisikhathi sokuthi abalimi balime isilimo se-broccoli ngoba senza kuhle kumkhathi onje.
“Abalimi sibakhuthaza ukuthi baqale ukulima i-broccoli ngoba iyavuma ngomkhathi lo oqandelelayo. I-broccoli ikhula kuhle ngesikhathi somqando ngakho umlimi olima isilimo lesi ngalesi isikhathi sengayithola inzuzo enkulu ngoba isivuno sakhe siba sikhulu,” kuchaza uMnu Mpofu.
Umkhathi otshisa kakhulu wenza isilimo se-broccoli siphuze ukukhula.
“Isikhathi lesi yiso esivumayo ngoba nxa kungatshisa okwedlula i-27 degrees Celsius isilimo lesi siyafuba njalo siphuze ukuvuthwa kodwa umkhathi ongaphansi kwe-27 degrees Celsius odlalela phakathi kwe15 degrees Celsius le-22 degrees Celsius yiwo kanye omuhle.
“Isilimo se-broccoli siyavuma endaweni okulamanzi atholakala sikhathi sonke njalo umhlabathi kufanele ube buthakathaka ukuze impande zesilimo lesi zenelise ukukhula kuhle.
“I-broccoli ayikhuli kuhle endaweni ezilokhula olunengi ngakho umlimi kufanele ahlanyele endaweni ekhitshwe ukhula njalo abone ukuthi uyayihlakulela zikhathi zonke,” kuveza Mnu Mpofu.
Uqhubeke waveza ukuba i-broccoli ayifani lezinye izilimo njalo yona iyaphangisa ukuvuthwa.
“I-broccoli ivuthwa ngemva kwamalanga alikhulu lamatshumi amahlanu nxa ihlanyelwe ngentanga kodwa ehlanyelwe ngamaxhakela ingavuthwa ngemva kwamalanga angamatshumi amahlanu lanhlanu kusiya kumalanga angamatshumi ayisitshiyagalo mbili,”
“I-broccoli ivunwa iseselombala oluhlaza njalo isaqinile. Ungabona isisiba lombala olithanga yazi ukuthi sizawonakala ngakho ivune ngokuphangisa,” kuphetha uMnu Mpofu.
